7-13-2007 CHAMPOEG is the largest annual gathering of geocachers in Oregon and the organizers make a huge effort to entertain everyone from the kids to the adults, and keep it from being something that's "just about the numbers". You can find caches the other 363 days of the year, right?. Two days of camping, eating, socializing, fun and games, and late night partying! Plus nearly everyone spends part of one morning working on a park project for the Champoeg State Park Staff.

series of caches goes high tech and into the woods. The search for the
elusive woodland gnomes begins. A cousin to the more genteel urban gnomes
seen decorating the lawns and gardens of the suburban landscape, these
small rambunctious characters often times take pleasure in disrupting the
activities of forest visitors.
